ARghs, I accidentally navigated out of the previous page, in which I was typing an entry... So now I have to re-type, cos everything is GONE! =((

Time really flies.. in about 1.5 month's time, I will be entering Uni and though I have a fair bit of fears and doubts about Uni life, I am still quite excited to a certain extent! I have fears as Uni life is going to be super different from JC and Sec sch and I have to adapt myself to a whole new environment again!!! I also have to think of how am I going to catch up in lectures, especially since the lecturers will be ranting on and on and I will have to copy down whatever they say. I write REALLY slowly man.. I am thinking of bringing in a tape recorder during lectures.. lOls.. so that I can take down whatever is said during lectures~! hohoho. I hope I will survive Uni life! hehe. Something to look forward to will be my stay in Hall! I will be staying in hall at NTU for a semester... just to have a taste of what hostel life is all about!! I am looking forward to it and I am glad to have Ya Yun as my roomie! I really hope we can complement each other and live happily together in the room!! ( hmmm. it sounds kinda... wrong.=P) Now I pray hard that I will get an air con room, so that I will not die of heat stroke when the weather gets terribly hot and humid! come on man, give me hall 3 or hall 16! =0

I am quite done with the whole process of application.. got my matric no., tuition grant form and declaration form have been sent in by post, my ntu email account has been created etc.. just hope that I will get to know a bunch of reliable, trustable, funky and great friends in NTU! =))

Hmm.. come to think of it, I have already worked about 5 months plus in NUS Biz Sch in the MBA Programs Office! =) It has been a great experience and I have DEFINITELY learnt A LOT! must i repeat myself again..? I have got really GREAT colleagues, GREAT kakis during lunch time and GREAT managers ( especially my senior manager!) i will surely miss the office and everyone after I stop working on the 13 July ( Friday the THIRTEENTH... how 'auspicious' can it be huh!) haha! I hope I can come back and help out as a student assistant whenever I am free... but i don't know if it's feasible, since I will be studying in NTU.

It has been 2 weeks since I got back from Beijing, China. haha. I wanted to update my journal on that but I was half-hearted. So now I am just going to give a brief description of how I feel about Beijing! Certainly, the first thing I must comment is the TOILET in China! OMG. They are atrocious!!! The public toilets are a far cry from the toilets we have in Singapore!! I really missed Singapore for that. The locks for the cubicles were spoilt ( so the door cannot be closed sometimes) and all the toilets reek of urine smell =/ Not that I want to say this.. but don't the cleaners do anything to the toilets? hmmm.. There was once when I accidentally pushed open the door of a cubicle, only to embarass myself as there was a lady in the cubicle! =/// SO PAISEH! Thanks to the 'NO LOCKS' theory man. baaaa.

On a lighter note, I find Beijing quite a nice city to be in ( if we put the toilet issue aside). There are plenty of beautiful flowers such as roses planted all around the city and it definitely help to beautify the city to quite an extent. Also, many historical buildings (touristic attractions) are undergoing some renovation... All these should be done in a bid of welcoming more tourists to China next year when Olympics 2008 take place! So basically, I was in Beijing for a good 5 days... quite short but I have visited quite a few attractions that are the icons of China... like The Great Wall of China, Tian'AnMen Square, Forbidden City, Beihai Park ( Winter Palace), Summer Palace, Old Beijing Street, Tian Tun ( Temple of Heaven) etc. They are really majestic and for the first time, I felt that China is not bad. However, i find the Chinese people in China really rude. =( Sad to say... but they are not very good in the service industry. =/ I can ask a Chinese lady three times to find out the cost of something.. and she ignored me until i asked the fourth time!=/

Here are some photos that were taken during the trip...

Big Headache!~

let it snow..., Let it snow, let it snow

ARGHS. I hate making decisions man, especially one that will affect my future! =((
Really hope that I have made the right choice by choosing Biological science/ Life sciences. I don't know if I will do well in that course but let's just hope that I will survive well! haha! Aiming for the Dean's List! LOL. ( just kidding, pls do not take my words seriously)

NUS or NTU? hmmm.. Basically, i am more swayed towards NTU as I may get to learn the basis of TCM, which I have loads of interest in. In addition, the new building ( as compared to NUS Fac of Sci) seems to be so alluring and it is definitely attracting me to a great extent. Good facilities are really important, I think. However, when it comes to prestige, NUS is definitely more reknowned globally. baaaaa. Which Uni should I go? sigh. Direct Hons or graduating with a 3 year Bachelors' Degree ( which I think may happen to me if I go to NUS, since the cohort is so big)????

Life is getting tiring, especially when it comes to work. haha. It's not that I don't like to work at NUS but I am really in need of a nice short break. =) Luckily I am flying off to Beijing for a short holiday with my grandpa, uncle n his family! PhEw... can't wait. =P I hope Beijing will be a great city to be in and I hope I will enjoy the sightseeing and the experience!=) How I wish I can be as carefree as the white clouds, so that I can drift here and there in the sky for all I want! I miss the white snow!=( Singapore is way too hot and humid. BOO.

My working life

Bintan. Nice beach
Woa. Finally I am 'blogging' again, like since eons ago! What a wonderful start. =)

Oh well, in case you are wondering what am I doing now, I am working at NUS MBA! I have been working there for almost 4 months and I have definitely learnt a lot. All thanks to my super duper nice and friendly senior manager Nan Sze, and of cos, my fabulous and wonderful 'temp-mates'! hehe. Izza and Weng Yin, you guys rock!

Nan Sze is really one of the nicest person I have ever met in my life, like seriously speaking. Though she is the HOD, she does not put on air and she definitely has been very patient with the temps! She is a really colourful character and when the office goes "mooOOOOoo", you know its her mobile phone. We both like Jersey cows, you know, the black and white kind of diary cows. Arent they just so cute? =) Still remember the first time I saw Nan Sze, I was so scared of her. I thought she looked really fierce and in addition, she speaks quite loudly. But never did I know that I could get along with her so well! Maybe that's what people call fate. I will really miss her after I leave the office for Uni. =( I shall wish her all the best and she definitely deserves more!=)

Izzaaaa!!! "Malay malay, minority!'' haha! I will always remember that action done by our very own Ms Ibrahim, a.k.a, Ms Is-ma-iL. haha. =P Just so cute and it will really make me smile everytime I think about that. I should say that it is the little nitty gritty kind of joyfulness that piece together, making our 'temping lives' really interesting. Yes, I have only known her for about 4 months but I think we can really click well together and we learn from each other! Just want to say a BIG thank you to her, cos she has been guiding me whenever I have problems at work! Thanks a lot for sharing your sorrowness and happiness with me at work! Let's do it man! I know we can! =)

Weng yin! hahha. my Lao Peng You. lOls. Not say really LAo PENG YOU but well, I have known you for 2 years and still counting. From touch rug team mates to 'temp mates', hehe, everything has been really great so far. Thanks for helping me out in times of difficulties and I truly hope that Mukund will never ever haunt me again! haha!!

I should say that this job brings me both joy and sorrow. Should I laugh with my mouth wide open or sob in sorrow? haha. Well, the part I don't really like this job is when a certain application is nowhere to be found. I can flip the whole office upside down and I'd find NOTHING. Then I will start feeling so horrible and feel like crying. However, on the brighter side, I like this job cos I have learnt a lot a lot. In this job, I have a lot of responsibilities and I have to learn how to work on my own and how to work with other people. Not to forget, I have to talk a lot too! haha. But I am glad that I found a job like this. Good pay, great company and a life long learning experience. What else can I ask for? =p
